Bears greet visitors in the main lobby entrance at the Academy of Natural Sciences. The mural behind them is imagery from places where you would find these bears, and the images were provided by staff at the Academy, Mike Servedio and Ted Daeschler.

The background image for this brass tortoise sculpture is from the Galapagos Islands. A sign with the Academy logo was added to the image for this popular photo op spot.

To help visitors find a popular permanent exhibit, this mural, which can be seen across the exhibit hall, was added.
